Personal candidate for AotS or even AotY. Show reminds me heavily of one more mature audience show called Shouwa genroku rakugo shinjuu (One of the best of last decade). Like Rakugo, Wave has truly amazing voice acting, especially by the the main character Minare's voice actress Sugiyama Riho who caries the show, clear contender for this year's best VA performance. Music is good but nothing out of ordinary, same goes to animation, but doesnt need to. This show is not about flashy final moves while Sawano's track is playing on the background, but on the story, characters and the voice acting. Luckily for Wave, it does all three 5/5
